About This Program
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program option is designed for individuals who wish to earn a BSN and enter the nursing profession in an accelerated time frame. This program can be completed in 14 months of study and is located at CMU-Columbia in the Forum Shopping Center. Clinical experiences will occur in a variety of mid-Missouri health care facilities.
The accelerated BSN nursing program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The accelerated BSN program at CMU is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.
As a CMU Accelerated Nursing major, you will have opportunities to:
- develop the skills employers seek while taking classes such as Psychosocial Integrity, Pharmacology, Leadership and Management, Nursing Research, Maternal/Child Nursing, and Public Health and Community Nursing Concepts

Admission Requirements
Admission to CMU is selective. Our admission staff carefully reviews and evaluates each application on an individual basis. Please review all requirements prior to applying for admission.
After being accepted to CMU, students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing must meet the additional requirements for acceptance into the Accelerated nursing program.
